Who are we?

The European Mediation Academy (emeac) is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental organization founded by the association " Mediation for All / Mediation for All "(http://www.m4all.at).

The people behind emeac and m4all are international mediation experts in Austria and Croatia.

The target of emeac is the development of mediation through civil and family advancement in:

  • Lobbing and advocacy for the definition of the legal framework for mediation (implementation in the legal, economic and social order)
  • Capacity Building through Organization of Highly Qualified Training Programs in Mediation
  • Awareness raising in the field of mediation, restorative justice, peer mediation, etc., tailored to the needs of public institutions, civil society actors, local government and schools
  • Develop and apply the supervision and evaluation program to assess the quality of mediation services provided to the parties
  • Contribute to the implementation, awareness and communication of mediations in European countries through the promotion and organization of information and training events in mediation, in particular to all lawyers, including judges, lawyers, notaries, law students, mediators and other interested parties
  • To promote and organize conferences, events, discussions and legal publications to contribute to the development of mediation in European countries
  • Support and development of mediation in cross-border conflicts at European and global level
  • Our certification program attaches great importance to competence assessments for each candidate;
  • emeac also has a special focus on Europe, to ensure that the European heritage and values ​​in the development of solutions which comply with European conditions.

emeac places great emphasis on working with science. Many university professors work as trainers for emeac.

The European Mediation Academy emeac  is a foundation of "Mediation For All" (formerly "Mediation without Barriers").

General Manager of emeac is the international business mediator Dr. Peter Adler.
